The new Ergon SM Men saddles are designed specifically for male mountain bikers. Extensive research and testing by Ergon's interdisciplinary team of sports scientists, industrial designers, engineers, and test riders has resulted in a new generation of pressure-relief saddles.These saddles provide effective relief and prevent discomfort and numbness for most mountain biking applications. They feature a large-area pressure distribution, ensuring perfect pressure distribution in the sit and pubic bones. The flat, even contact area and high-end padding foams contribute to this.The narrow, slightly inclining rear with a flat contour and minimal ramp-up provides excellent freedom of movement on downhill sections. The shape of the saddle, with its more upright pelvic orientation, offers a flat surface and great freedom of movement.The deep and rearward increasing relief channel, along with a cut-out in the deepest spot, provides exceptional pressure relief for the sensitive perineal area. This construction avoids the high pressures that often cause discomfort and numbness in the genital area.The Y-shape of the saddle maximizes freedom of movement and legroom while providing optimal support for all bone structures. The saddle also includes a convenient removable mount for accessories like Topeak® saddle bags.The Ergon SM Men saddle is made with a nylon composite shell, CroMo rails, and a microfibre cover. It features orthopaedic comfort foam padding. The weight of the saddle is 305g (S/M) and 325g (M/L).Please note, the size options for this saddle are based on sit bone width. The small/medium size is suitable for sit bone widths of 9-12cm and the medium/large size is suitable for sit bone widths of 12-16cm.
