The ultimate pedal for enduro racing and riding. The Mallet E LS was developed with the help of some well-known enduro athletes. It is 12% smaller than the Mallet DH pedals but still features many of its well-loved characteristics. There are two different axle lengths available, 52mm or 57mm. (Please note that the 57mm pedal is only available in a half black / half blue colour option). The 52mm axle length provides an engagement point and Q factor similar to other brands of pedals. If you have previously used the Mallet DH pedal, you may benefit from using the longer axle version. Riders who prefer a wider Q factor or have less crankarm / pedal clearance may also benefit from the longer axle pedals. The Mallet E LS has a concave pedal platform for a secure foothold. Like its DH equivalent, it offers that flat pedal feel while running clipless. It is 49g lighter and has a 12% smaller pedal body than the Crankbrothers Mallet DH pedal. The Q factor is 52mm compared to 57mm on the DH equivalent. The ribbed body of the Mallet E LS allows for better traction when unclipped, and the chamfered edges reduce rock strikes. The design is very open, allowing for excellent mud-shedding. With 4-sided entry, you can clip in on all four sides of the pedal by pushing forward or pulling backwards. The Mallet E LS offers increased float with 6° of side-to-side rotational play. This float allows the rider to shift positions on the bike while keeping their feet clipped into the pedal. It provides improved rider control and bike handling. The fit adjustment allows for a release angle of either 15° or 20° using crankbrothers premium cleats. Zero-float cleats can be purchased separately. You can customize the fit between your shoe and pedal interface by using the integrated traction pads. The pedals come with 1mm tread pads fitted and also include a set of 2mm pads in the box.The inner bearing of the Mallet E LS is an exclusive igus LL-glide bearing formulated specifically for crankbrothers. It performs well even in adverse trail conditions. The outer enduro cartridge bearing is designed for pedals and uses superior materials, grease, and sealing. It effectively keeps water and debris from entering the pedal.Crankbrothers pedals are fully rebuildable for simple maintenance. The parts are consistent across all pedal models, making servicing easy using the pedal refresh kit (CRB-16051).Specifications:- Weight (per pair): 419g- Spindle: Forged SCM 435 chromoly steel- Body: 6061-T6 aluminium- Wings: 17-4PH stainless- Spring: 300 series stainless steel- Inner bearing: Exclusive igus LL-glide bearing- Outer bearing: Enduro cartridge bearing- Pins: 12 pins per pedal- Cleats: Premium brass cleats included- Release angle: 15° or 20°- Warranty: 5 years
