Routes

Fort William and Oban are ideal starting points for Scottish cycling holidays, whether you're looking for touring adventures or some of the best mountain biking on the planet. Both are easily accessible by public transport from Glasgow and Edinburgh and both are gateways to the Highlands and Islands.

For touring holidays, we supply bikes, guides, pick-up/drop-off and route guidance. Everything in fact except accommodation. Check out our accommodation link for recommended bike-friendly places to stay.

For the most detailed bike route resource, see Great Glen Bikes

For shorter local mountain bike routes around Fort William see: Ride Fort William

For cycling coast to coast on the Great Glen Way, please see our Great Glen Way page.

For historical trails in the area and some 'epic' routes, check out Heritage Paths

There are dozens of cycle routes around our shops and we provide maps and advice with our hires. For longer trips here are  three of our most popular touring routes (please email for detailed advice on following these routes).
