Local Information

Our bike retail outlet, cycle hire and repair workshop are at the centre of the quiet historic village of Inverlochy in Fort William. Famous for sport and outdoor recreation, Fort William is at the foot of the UK's highest mountain, Ben Nevis and at the west end of the 80 mile Great Glen Mountain Bike Trail.

We are a 5 min cycle from the Fort William bus and train stations and just a minute's drive off the main A82 road access from the West Highlands to Central Scotland, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Our shop is directly on the Great Glen Cycle Route and Walking Way in a quiet pretty square with free car parking, shops and a Post Office.

Mountain View is positioned on the banks of the Caledonian Canal this is the perfect setting for those who enjoy peace, quiet and the great outdoors, whether from their car, bicycle, canoe, skis or on foot. Access to the countryside starts at the end of the garden, which bounds Neptune’s Staircase on the Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen Way. The apartment is 3 miles from the town of Fort William and 3mins walk from the nearest station and bus stop.

Great Glen Caravans Self Catering Caravan Accommodation, cyclists welcome! 6 berth caravan sited on the family croft, close to the Caledonian Canal. It has outstanding views of Ben Nevis and the ski range at Aonach Mor. Wonderfully peaceful location and very child friendly. It is 4 miles from the town of Fort William and 15mins walk from the nearest station and bus stop.

St Andrews Guest House Conveniently situated close to town centre and railway/bus stations, overlooking the start/end of Great Glen Way and Loch Linnhe. Bed and Breakfast from £20, en-suite double twin and family rooms. The house is set in private grounds with a secure area available for bikes if required.

Free use of facilities at private leisure centre. Bike Hire can be arranged and there is a lockable bike shed / drying room for cycling gear.

Cyclist Friendly Transport

Jamie's Taxi Service Jamie offers a service which few taxis provide - carrying passengers together with their bicycles and luggage - competitve with public transport for certain journeys. Taxi seats up to six people with space for luggage in the roofbox and cycle rack available on request.
